When menopause sets in, our bodies begin to change drastically and maintaining optimal weight and shape costs us ten times more than before. That’s why at Naturocenter we believe that you should not stop depriving yourself of good food in order to control your weight. One of the most demotivating things is to be deprived of certain delicious (but very caloric) dishes.

Therefore, this hake stew will provide you with the necessary omega-3 and will help you to reduce inflammation and cleanse your body. Let´s go, grab your cooking apron!

We will need:

  • We will need
  • Two or three cloves of garlic
  • A beautiful onion
  • A few grains of black pepper
  • One teaspoon of sweet paprika
  • A small bay leaf
  • One tablespoon of white wine vinegar
  • Eight slices of hake (preferably fresh)
  • A pinch of salt
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Half a litre of water

Preparation:

To make this hake stew, first fry the onion (already cut into cubes) in a dash of extra virgin olive oil. Add half a litre of water, bay leaf, pepper and potatoes and leave it to cook until the potatoes can be cut with a fork.

Once we have finished with the potatoes, add the hake medallions and let it cook for three or four minutes (or until we notice that the hake is ready).

At the same time, fry the laminated garlic over low heat with a good dash of olive oil. When the garlic is golden brown, remove it and add a teaspoon of sweet paprika, the spoonful of vinegar and, very quickly, half a saucepan of boiling water (this will prevent the paprika from burning and becoming bitter). Stir it well to produce a uniform sauce and set it aside.

Once the hake is ready, serve it on a plate with the potatoes and sprinkle everything with our paprika sauce.

Now all you have to do is to enjoy this delicious hake stew. Don’t forget to leave some for the others!
