Strawberry Salad and Grapefruit Dressing

Salads are certainly a good choice in hot weather and this one is definitely great for spring as it contains seasonal fruits such as strawberry or grapefruit (only until May). That’s why at Naturocenter, we believe that this strawberry salad is perfectly suited not only for pregnant women, but to all those who want to take care of themselves and feel good. This recipe will not leave any gourmet indifferent, as the combination of acidic foods such as grapefruit or balsamic oil and sweet foods such as strawberries give the salad a range of complex and delicious flavours and textures. Undoubtedly a recipe full of umami and that proves, on the table, how easy it is to take care of yourself without forfeiting tasty and delicious dishes.

Prepare the table right away, as this recipe won’t take you much time, let´s prepare the strawberry salad!

 

We will need:

  • A few small arugula leaves
  • Some iceberg lettuce leaves
  • Some oak leaf lettuce leaves
  • A Raff tomato
  • A handful of walnuts and sunflower seeds (peeled)
  • 200 grams of strawberries
  • Parmigiano Reggiano (parmesan) peels
  • Modena Balsamic Oil
  • Half a glass of grapefruit juice
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt and pepper

 

Preparation:

With a dipstick, mix the olive oil with the balsamic oil and salt in a bowl until the ingredients are mixed. Next, add the grapefruit juice little by little while the dressing is being whipped.

Then, in a larger bowl, add the lettuce leaves (already cut and cleaned), the rocket leaves and the tomatoes and strawberries. Once we have everything in place, spread the dressing over the whole salad and mix it well and then add the nuts and Parmigiano Reggiano.

All that’s left to do now is to eat and enjoy it. Enjoy your meal.
