Chicken with Orange and Chard

This recipe contains:

  • Dióxido de azufre y Sulfitos

At Naturocenter we opt for a complete diet without excluding any type of food. This chicken with orange and chard provides us with nutrients such as vitamin C from orange juice, fibre and iron from red chard sprouts and clean protein in the fat from the chicken breast. All this together can be of great benefit to women during menopause, as well as to anyone wanting to take care of themselves and keep in shape.

We will need:

  • A couple of oranges
  • A couple of chicken breasts (raised or free-range)
  • A couple of cloves of garlic
  • A branch of fresh thyme
  • A couple of handfuls of red chard sprouts
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Modena Balsamic Oil
  • Salt

Preparation:

With a juice press, we extract the juice from an orange and grate a little of its peel. Mix this orange juice with a dash of balsamic oil, a dash of olive oil and whip it well. Keep the vinaigrette in the refrigerator and save it for the end.

With our frying pan at full power, add the breasts and brown them with a dash of olive oil until they are ready and juicy inside. We will remove them and let them rest for a few minutes and then cut them into strips.

Additionally, with another frying pan that we have at hand, we will cook a few orange segments for one minute on each side. This way, we will obtain sweet and tasty pieces with a toasted touch.

Once everything is ready, we’ll set up the dish. In a bowl, we mix our red chard sprouts with our breast strips and orange segments. We adjust the salt and add a sprig of freshly-chopped thyme. Additionally, we will add our orange vinaigrette to provide it with the necessary flavour boost.

Fresh, tasty, full of contrasts… this chicken with orange and chard is a five-star dish!
