Tuna tartare has become one of the most popular dishes in recent years. This version of the famous meat tartar is a very good excuse to eat fish in a delicious manner. No doubt a recipe for the entire family that will surely please both children and adults.

Besides, by adding Tamari soy sauce (which is also of top quality) we will obtain a tartar which is suitable for coeliacs. Therefore, this is a all-round recipe that is suitable for a large number of palates and worthy of both special occasions, s well as a daily recipe.

We will need:

  • 300 grams of tuna (preferably ventresca)
  • One lime
  • A very ripe tomato
  • An avocado
  • A bunch of chives
  • A small red onion (one onion also serves us)
  • Some coriander leaves
  • A pinch of chopped fresh ginger
  • A teaspoon of Dijon mustard
  • A dash of gluten-free soy sauce (Tamari)
  • A dash of extra virgin olive oil
  • A dash of sherry vinegar
  • Salt and pepper

Preparation:

First of all, we are going to cut our tuna (we recommend that you cut and clean the fish in the fish market so that you don’t face a fierce battle at home).
The best way to cut it into cubes is to have it prepared in slices and from these slices then we prepare the cubes in a uniform way.

Once the tuna is cut into cubes, grate the lime peel on top and add salt and pepper and let it rest in a bowl.

While the tuna acquires its flavour, we prepare a dressing with olive oil, sherry vinegar, soy sauce and Dijon mustard. To mix everything well into a bowl, we stir everything with the help of a wand.

Cut the avocado, the tomato and the red onion into cubes and add it to the tuna (along with the dressing we had prepared), leaving it to marinate for five minutes.

Once marinated, place it on a plate the way you prefer and add some chopped chives.

Easy and effective, a scrumptious tuna tartare!
